Project Overview
Members of The Donelson Fellowship needed a digital home where they could easily watch past sermons, explore LifeGroups, give online, and stay up to date with church events and opportunities to connect.
I led the design of a unified platform that brought these essential features into one accessible, user-friendly experience for the church community.

Problem Context
Church members were bouncing between multiple third-party platforms and sites to find sermons, directories, and group info—often unsure where to look or what was current.
This fragmented approach created confusion and limited engagement across the church’s growing digital audience.
Core Challenge
How might we consolidate key church resources into a single platform that makes it easy for members to stay connected, grow spiritually, and participate in community life?
Design System
Users needed a clean, distraction-free interface that made it easy to focus on content without overwhelming visuals.
To support this, I built a foundational design language around color, spacing, and typography—prioritizing accessibility and clarity at every level of the experience. This system ensured consistency across the site while allowing content to shine.
Color
How the color roles relate to the variants, and how they're applied across the interface.
Color System in Action

Spacing
Embracing white space should be an important aspect of any brand, and it's an often overlooked part of product design. My goal was to create guidelines to take the guesswork out of spacing and help deliver clear, functional layouts.
I started with a spacing scale based on a geometric progression within a 4px grid, limiting the amount of options to create a consistent and purposeful use of space.
Design
To create a simple and functional app, I focused on a clean layout that enhances usability and clarity.
Interactive UI elements like voting sliders, conditional buttons, and success popups were implemented to guide user behavior and improve engagement throughout the experience.
Unified Experience
Designed a central platform that combined sermons, events, giving, and groups in one place.
Streamlined Navigation
Created clear, intuitive paths to help users easily find what they need.
Member Engagement
Integrated tools for LifeGroup discovery and member connection to support deeper involvement.
Key Success & Outcome
Delivered a functional mobile app prototype that consolidated key church resources—sermons, events, giving, and group info—into one centralized experience.
Future improvements include pre-check-in for Kids Ministry and podcast integration, continuing to enhance accessibility and deepen member engagement.
